UCF’s primary objective is to facilitate social inclusion for Māori, refugees and migrants, harnessing the cohesive power of sport and recreation to foster community spirit, build connections, and celebrate diversity within the host society. Inspired by successful initiatives like the “#SheBelongs Soccer Project” in the USA, which bonds refugee and non-refugee girls through soccer, UCF is dedicated to collaborate with local sport clubs and community groups to cultivate an inclusive and supportive environment. This environment will promote well-being and integration, offering a platform for individuals from different backgrounds to unite, forge connections, and nurture a sense of belonging.
- Mission: UCF is dedicated to developing social inclusion among Maori, refugees, migrants, and other citizens in New Zealand through sport and recreational activities. Our mission is to create a sense of belonging, unity, and cultural understanding among diverse communities.
- Vision: A harmonious and united society where individuals from all backgrounds thrive through shared sports and recreational experiences.
