Our sport and recreation programmes aim to promote physical health, foster team spirit, and encourage community participation. We strive to create inclusive and engaging environments where skills can be developed and diverse cultures celebrated. Ultimately, our goal is to enrich lives through active participation and shared experiences in sports and recreation. Here are all the expected propgrammes that we aim to execute in 2024-5:

1- Community Engagement: To strengthen UCF’s community engagement and broaden its impact, the following strategies are proposed:

1.1 Forge Strategic Partnerships: We aim to develop collaborative relationships with key national and local entities, such as Sport NZ, Aktive, Belong Aotearoa, Sport Auckland, and Auckland City Council. Similarly the Foundation will forge connections with Islamic centres and other relevant community groups. These alliances help us to secure essential funding and facilities, while also facilitate our outreach to diverse ethnic communities including African, South American, Maori, Arab, Iranian, Afghan, and more. These partnerships will play a crucial role in mobilizing resources and encouraging widespread community participation in UCF’s programmes.

1.2 Progressive Participant Growth: The Foundation implement a strategic plan to gradually increase participant numbers over the year. This growth strategy will focus on attracting new members from various communities and retaining them through engaging activities. The plan will include targeted outreach campaigns, tailored events, and community workshops to generate interest and sustain participant involvement.

1.3 Boost Regular Engagement: We place a strong emphasis on increasing the frequency of engagement among current participants and develop a series of regular, appealing programmes and events designed to encourage continuous involvement. This may include offering a variety of sports and recreational activities that cater to different interests, ages, and skill levels. Regular engagement is very important for building a strong and active community around UCF’s mission.

These strategies will enhance UCF’s ability to connect with a wide array of communities, increase its membership, and create a vibrant, inclusive sporting and recreational environment.

2-  “United Community” Programmes in 2025 – 2027: To enhance the reach and impact of UCF in the Auckland region, we propose the following strategic actions under the name of “United Community”:

2.1 Launch Sports Leagues: The Foundation will establish competitive and recreational leagues in popular sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, and badminton. These leagues will improve team spirit, healthy competition, and physical fitness across the Auckland region.

2.2 Weekly Informal Games: We facilitate weekly casual sports gatherings in each region to encourage regular participation and social interaction. These informal games will offer a relaxed atmosphere for building friendships and community connections.

2.3 Fortnightly Hiking Excursions: Fortnightly hiking trips to explore Auckland’s scenic landscapes will be organized. These activities will include transportation and light refreshments, promoting physical health and appreciation for New Zealand’s natural beauty.

2.4 Cultural Social Gatherings: The Foundation will host monthly social events that celebrate the rich diversity of cultures within the community. These gatherings will invite people to share their customs, traditions, foods, music, and games, raising a deeper understanding and appreciation of different cultural backgrounds.

2.5 Youth Sports Training: By hiring qualified coaches, we provide sports training sessions for children and youth aged 5 to 18 years, including talent identification, in football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, and martial arts/self-defence. These sessions will focus on skill development, discipline, and teamwork, nurturing the next generation of athletes and leaders.

2.6 Female Weekly Dance Programmes: The Foundation will also initiate weekly dance sessions exclusively for women, aiming to foster joy, interpersonal connections, and celebrate diverse cultural values.

3- Facility Acquisition: To successfully manage the above activities, we negotiate with Auckland Council to secure a leased building dedicated to UCF’s community activities. This facility will serve as a central hub for the Foundation’s programmes, reducing operational and project costs and providing a consistent, accessible space for events, training sessions, and social gatherings. The establishment of this facility will be a significant step towards achieving the Foundation’s mission of developing social inclusion and community engagement through sports and recreation.

4- Financial Sustainability: To ensure the long-term success and growth of UCF, a robust financial sustainability plan is crucial. The following strategies are proposed:

4.1 Diverse Funding Strategies: We develop a multifaceted approach to funding that includes applying for grants, securing sponsorships, and soliciting donations from individuals and corporations. This approach will provide a stable financial base and reduce dependency on a single source of income.

4.2 Local Business and Council Partnerships: Strategic alliances with local businesses and the Council must be formed to gain both financial and in-kind support. These partnerships could involve sponsorships, donations, or collaborative events that benefit both parties.
